Biography - Savić Sanja ARH

Savić Sanja was born in 1987 in Cetinje. At the same time, she attends the "Sutjeska" Elementary School and the "Vasa Pavić" Elementary (Ballet) Music School, after which she enrolled high school "Slobodan Škerović" in 2002, Department of Natural Sciences and Mathematics.

She enrolled Faculty of Architecture in Podgorica in 2006. She defended specialist final thesis in 2010, under the mentorship of prof.dr Svetislav G. Popović and co-mentor prof. dr sc Nenad Lipovac, the theme "Plan-urban solution of the location of Rakitje", Zagreb, Republic of Croatia.

After completing her studies, during her summer vacation, her first work experience begins at the architectural office Brus Lachowicz, in Zabrze, Poland (2009).

Her trainee work starts at the Republic Institute for Urban Planning and Design, a.d. Podgorica (2010), while as associate designer / planner remains from 2011 to September of 2013. As a teaching assistant at the Faculty of Architecture, she starts in September of 2013, on the subjects of urban planning and design.

She started master studies in 2011 at the Faculty of Architecture in Podgorica, Departmant of Urban Planning Organization. She successfully completed masters degree with thesis: Discontinuity of the connection of the city with the rivers - Podgorica, under the mentorship of Professor Dr. Svetislav G. Popovic.

She is a recipient of scholarships from the Ministry of Education and Science of Montenegro and the International Organization for the Exchange of Students CEEPUS - Croatia, Zagreb (2010) for the specialist studies on thesis Plan and urban solution of the location of Rakitje, Zagreb, Croatia, under the co-mentor professor dr Nenad Lipovac, Faculty of Architecture, University of Zagreb.

She won the scholarship of international organizations IAESTE- Poland of 2009., on professional training in the architectural office in ZABRZE, Poland, an associate of the designer.

She is a scholarship recipient by the Ministry of Higher Education, Slovenia, 2011. (Ljubljana) in order to improve knowledge in the field of urban planning, through a masters program, under the mentorship of prof. Dr. Peter Gabrijelčič (University of Ljubljana).

She defended her doctoral thesis in 2022 at the University of Zagreb, Department of Architecture and Urbanism, with the topic Settlements on the Adriatic coast of Montenegro - Planning and other criteria for their improvement and development, under the mentorship of prof. Ph.D.Sc. Nenad Lipovac, full professor with permanent title.
