Biography - Kordić Stevan

Stevan Kordić was born in 1969, in Kotor. He has finished primary school in Radanovići (1976—1984) and then secondary school in Kotor (1984—1987). During the primary and secondary school, he participated in numerous physical and mathematical contests. He attended the Mathematical Faculty of the University of Belgrade from 1989 to 1994. On the same faculty he defended his MA degree “One Heuristic for the Method of the Analytic Tableaux” in 1998. He defended his PhD thesis “Method of Sedimentation and its Discrete Mathematics Applications” in 2016, again at the Mathematical Faculty of Belgrade University under the mentorship of Prof. Žarko Mijajlović.

Stevan Kordić worked at Faculty for Geology and Mining of the University of Belgrade from 1997 to 1999. From 2000 to the present day he works as a teaching assistant at the Maritime Faculty of Kotor / University of Montenegro. He teaches mathematical courses on the all program studies of the Maritime Faculty of Kotor.

Subjects of his scientific interest are mathematical logic, automatic theorem proving, computer sciences and combinatorial optimisation (especially in the field of port and transport optimisation problems). He has participated in scientific conferences with papers and has published articles in scientific journals.

Stevan Kordić is art photographer and the member of several non-governmental organisations dedicated to the preservation of the cultural heritage of the Bay of Kotor area. Hi is the life member of Europa Nostra.
