Biography - Delijić Kemal

Prof. Dr Kemal Delijić, full professor, University of Montenegro

 

Prof. Dr Kemal Delijić is a full professor at the University of Montenegro, Faculty of Metallurgy and Technology, born 1965. in Murska Sobota, Slovenia; graduate in metallurgical engineering (1990); MSc (1993) and PhD (1997) in technical sciences, University of Montenegro.

Teaching field: Mechanical behavior of materials; Testing of materials; Deformation processing of Al and Al-alloys; Mechanical Metallurgy; Remediation, Quality Standards in Environmental Protection.

Awards: Award of Montenegrin Capital "19. December".

Fields of research work are related to design, processing, mechanical and corrosion behaviour of Al-alloys for automotive, construction and packaging materials; metal&ceramic composites, bio-composite materials, shape memory alloys, quasi-crystalline metal materials, dental/silver alloys as well as to soil remediation.

He was an invited lecturer at the PhD studies "Science and Engineering Materials" of the Faculty of Science and Technology in Ljubljana, the Faculty of Metallurgy in Sisak and the Faculty of Metallurgy in Zenica.

He is an certified valuer in the technical field and member of the Commission for Accreditation of the Accreditation Body of Montenegro.

Certificates: "Hazardous Wastes Management"; "Metallurgy and IPPC".

During his work, he has published 266 references in the following terms:

  • patent, related to sterling silver alloys,
  • papers (journals, conferences), invited lectures, R&D projects and studies(204);
  • financial/investment &restructuring programs and analyses, technical reports in the fields of testing of metal materials and structures, welded joints, anticorrosion protection and audits of remediation projects (61).

He held the university positions: Dean of the Faculty of Metallurgy and Technology (State University of Montenegro) from 2007 to 2013; Member of the Governing Board of the State University of Montenegro (2012-2016); Vicedean of the Faculty of Metallurgy and Technology (2002-2007); Head of Postgraduate Studies; Head of Metalworking Department (2003-2007);

He was a member (or Montenegrin representative), of the following organizations:

  • Member of the JRC Board of Governors - EU Science Hub (2014-2017);
  • Member of the Science Council of the Government of MNE (2013-2017);
  • ERC Marie Sklodowska Curie Action PC member - MNE Representative (2016-2017);
  • Member of the Strategic configuration Committee of the Horizon 2020 Programme Committee (2015-2017);
  • Member of High Level Group of EU and AC on Nanosciences, Nanotechnologies and Advanced Materials (2014-2017);
  • National Contact Point: Horizon 2020 NMP, 'Nanotechnologies, advanced materials and advanced manufacturing and processing' (2013-2017);
  • Representative in the Program Committee "Nanotechnologies, Advanced materials, biotechnology, Advanced manufacturing and processing" - "Horizon 2020" (2014-2017);
  • Montenegrin Representative in the Program Committee for FP7 Nanosciences, nanotechnologies, materials and new production technologies area (2011-2013);
  • Montenegrin Representative in the High Level Group of EU MS and FP7 Associated Countries on Nanosciences and Nanotechnologies (2011-2013);
  • Member of the Working Group for the preparation of negotiations on accession of MNE to the EU, Chapter 25 -Science and Research - Field "EU Research Fund for Coal and Steel";
  • Member of the Board (Steering Committee) of the project "Integrated management of the eco-system of Skadar lake" - Component Aluminum Plant Podgorica;
  • Advisor to the MNE EPA & World Bank team for the remediation studies of locations with industrial and hazardous waste.
