Dr Vukmirović graduated with an M.D. from the University of Priština in 1999. Since 2000, in addition to his work with  the patients, Dr. Vukmirović has been closely involved with teaching of medical students.

In 2003, he completed residency in pathological anatomy at the University of Novi Sad, Serbia. Since then he has been working as a pathology specialist.

Dr. Vukmirović graduated with his Ph.D. from the Faculty of Medicine in Foča, University of East Sarajevo, Republic of Srpska, Bosnia and Herzegovina in 2007. The focus of his research was to evaluate clinical importance of vascular and epidermal growth factor in breast and stomach cancer.

In 2007 he has been promoted to the Chief of the Pathology department at the Clinical center of Montenegro (CCM) and from 2009 to 2011 he served as a Chair of Ethical Committee at the CCM.

He received the title of the associate professor at the University of Montenegro at the Department of pathological anatomy in 2013. Since 2017, he has been serving as a Director of  Centre of Science at the CCM.
