Biography - Bratić Vesna

Vesna Bratić graduated from the Nikšić Faculty of Philosophy and received her MPhil and Ph.D. degrees in  Literature from the Belgrade Faculty of Philology. Her areas of interest include postmodern literature, discourse analysis/conceptual metaphor, gender studies, intercultural studies, , women’s writing, etc. She is teaching courses in English Classicism and Sentimentalism and English Romanticism at the Department of the English Language and Literature of the Faculty of Philology, and ESP in the Departments of Electronics and Power and Control Systems of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering.

She was minister of education, science, culture and sports in the 42th Government of Montenero.

She was awarded a SUSI grant (The Institute on Contemporary American Literature, UoL, Louisville, Kentucky, 2015) and a JFK Institute Library Research Grant (Berlin 2018).
