Biography - Sinđić-Grebović Radmila

Radmila Sinđić Grebović, PhD Civil Eng., Associate professor

 

Radmila was born in Nikšić, in Montenegro, where she finished elementary and high school. For her successful studying results she received “Luča” certificate. She has achieved an outstanding success by winning at the maths competition for students of elementary schools of ex Yugoslavia.  

Radmila has gained her university degree at the Faculty of Civil Engineering “Veljko Vlahović” in Titograd in 1988. She has been awarded the “19 . decembar” prize in 1985 for exceptional studying achievements.

She received her technical master degree at the Faculty of Civil Engineering of the University in Belgrade at the with her master thesis “Analysis Parameters of High Strength Concrete”.

Her doctoral dissertation “The Influence of High Strength of Concrete on Reinforced Concrete Beams Shear Strength“ was defended at the Faculty of Civil Engineering in Podgorica at 8th October in 2009.

1.10.1988. - 13.01.1992. Construction company “Radnik”, Bijelo Polje, Montenegro – Construction Supervisor, Structure Designer;

July - August 1989 “Gradis” – Maribor Republic of Slovenia - Designer of pre-stressed concrete constructions

01.02.1993 – now – University of Montenegro, Faculty of Civil Engineering Podgorica

 

Scientific grade appointment and engagements at the University of Montenegro: 

  • 1993 - 1998 Teaching Assistant – practice part on subjects Building Materials and Reinforced Concrete Structures;
  • 06.1998. – Appointed to Assistant professor (Academic appointment according to former Montenegrin Law)
  • 1998 – 2009 - Continued teaching on previously mentioned subjects;
  • 2009 – 2011 Teaching assistant with doctoral degree – teaching subjects Civil Engineering Materials and Reinforced Concrete Structures;
  • 03.2011. Appointed Assistant Professor by Act of Senate of The University of Montenegro number 08-453
  • 2011 – 2017 as Assistant Professor she  was teaching on subjects: Pre-stressed Structures and Energy Efficiency of Buildings (Specialist Academic Studies), Building Materials, Design and Execution of Reinforced Concrete Structures, Technology of Building Construction,  Building Physics and Installation and Energy Efficiency (Basic Applied Studies), as well as subjects on different Master programmes: Energy Efficiency at Building; Concept of Energy Efficiency and Management – EU and National Regulations; Structures of High-Strength Concrete;  Special Chapters on Testing Of Structure Materials; New building materials technology.
  • 03.2017. was appointed Associate Professor by the Act of Senate of the University of Montenegro number 03-711; teaching on subjects in reinforced constructions and energy efficiency.

 

Radmila has published 52 scientific papers until 2016, and has participated in few scientific projects. She has cooperated on preparation of new regulations in the area of civil engineering. She is also involved in matters of harmonization of local civil engineering standards with European norms.

Radmila is a member of Chamber of Engineers of Montenegro. She is an active participant of various committees of the Institute for Standardization of Montenegro (President of Technical Committee TK 009 – Building products and member of Technical Committee TK 004 – Systems of Managing Energy and Energy Efficiency).

She is a member of the engineering supervision team for the highway Bar-Boljare.

Radmila is married and a mother of three children.

She speaks Montenegrin (former Serbo-Croat) and English.
