Biography - Radonjić Sanja

Sanja Radonjić was born in Podgorica, where she finished elementary school and Gymnasium ‚‚Slobodan Škerović. She graduated at the Faculty of Agriculture, University of Belgrade in 1996, received M.Sc. in 2002. and Ph.D. in 2008 (Plant and Food Protection Department - Entomology).

After graduation, she started working at the Agricultural Institute in Podgorica in 1997 (later Biotechnical Institute, and since 2005, the Biotechnical Faculty). Her position is full  professor since 2020. She is engaged in teaching in basic academic studies Plant Production, Master studies Plant Protection, Specialized academic studies - study program Plant Protection,  Applied Studies in Bijelo Polje (Continental fruit growing and medical plants) and Interdisciplinary master studies Food Safety.

For short or long study courses in the career field (Plant Protection and Entomology) stayed in China (South China Agricultural University, Guangzhou), Austria (International Atomic Energy Agency - IAEA), the United States (United States Department of Agriculture - USDA Honolulu (Hawaii) and Columbia (Missouri) and Italy (Università Degli Studi di Pavia, Dipartimento di Biologia Animale, Section of Zoology, Laboratory of Insect Molecular Genetics & Evolution).

As a leader or member of the working team, she participated in more international and national scientific research projects (FAO/IAEA TC projects, ERASMUS+, FP7-RegPot, Ministry of Science of Montenegro). 

She has published a number of papers in relevant international scientific journals. She is a reviewer in several international scientific journals.

She is representative of Montenegro in the Standing Committee on Agricultural Research - SCAR (Standing Committee on Agricultural Research) 2016-2020.

She speaks English language.
