Vesna Simovic-Zvicer

Date of birth: 02.05.1977. in Šavnik.

She finished elementary and high school in Nikšić.

She graduated from the Law Faculty of the University of Montenegro in Podgorica in 2000.

MA degree: Law Faculty of the University of Belgrade; the subject: "Positive-legal content and the meaning of the justified dismissal rule" (November 17, 2004.)

PhD:  Law Faculty of the University of Montenegro;  subject: "Professional rehabilitation and employment persons with disabilities "( December 10, 2010.)

In March 2001, she started working at the Law Faculty of the University of Montenegro, as associate scholar on the subject of Labor Law. She was elected as a teaching assistant in 2005. In the period from 2011 to 2015, she was engaged as a lecturer at the Faculty of Law and the Faculty of Political Sciences, on subjects: Labor Law, European Labor Law and Social Protection. On May 13, 2021, she was elected in the academic title: Associate Professor.

In November 2015, she was elected Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Political Sciences, in the following subjects: Labor Law, European Labor Law and Social Protection and the Law on Labor Law at the Law Faculty.

In 2021. she became Associate Professor at University of Montenegro (subjects: Labour Law, European Labour Law and Social Security).

Other activities:

- arbitrators and conciliators in the Agency for the peaceful resolution of labor disputes (since 2010…)

- member of the Social Council of Montenegro ( 2012 -2020)

- member of the Judicial Council from among the distinguished lawyers (2.7. 2014. - 22. 12.2023). President of the Judical Council (24.12.2019-22.12.2023.)

- member of the Administrative Board of the Association of Lawyers of Montenegro (since 2014….)

- member of the research team at the European Network of Labor Law (since 2015…)

- national expert at the European Center for Expertise (since 2018…)

- president of the committee for the fight against doping in sport ( 2018-2022)

She is married and has a son, Maxim.
