Biography

I was born on January 9, 1967. in Pljevlja, Montenegro. I finished primary and secondary school in Pljevlja.

Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at the University "Veljko Vlahović" in Titograd I enrolled in the 1986/87 academic year. Mechanical Engineering, the Department of Production Engineering I finished in 1991. I defended the work in the area of design using modern tools: "Application of the available CAE system in KAP in designing a blacksmith tool".

For the academic year 1987/88, as the best student of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, I received the student award "December 19^th".

I enrolled in postgraduate master studies in 1992/93, Department of Applied Mechanics and Construction, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of University "Veljko Vlahović" in Podgorica. On July 1, 1997., I defended the masters thesis " Assessment of the carrying capacity of welded bottles of aluminium-magnesium alloy for propane-butane storage ".

On September 23, 2003., I defended the Doctoral dissertation "Investigation of the possibility of welding power equipment assemblies using an activating flux" at the Faculty of Metallurgy and Technology, University of Montenegro, Podgorica. Most of the research was done at the E.O. Paton Electrical Welding Institute of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine.

Within the framework of scientific and technical cooperation between the University of Montenegro and the E.O. Paton Electrical Welding Institute, I visited several times in this Institute in 2004-2010. years working on theoretical-experimental research into the application of modern arc welding processes.

I received the National Fellowship for Excellence awarded by the Ministry of Science of Montenegro within the framework of the project "Higher Education and Research for Innovation and Competitiveness - INVO / HERIC" for 2016.

During the period from 2007 to 2013. I was the vice dean for teaching. From 2008.-2013. I worked as a manager/responsible person for the realization of the study program in the Mechanical Engineering - department in Pljevlja. I was the president of the Commission for Quality Assurance and Improvement at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering (2008.-2013.). At the same time, I was a member of the Commission for Publishing at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering. From  2011. to 2016. I was the head of doctoral and masters studies since 2016. to 2018. I was the President of doctoral studies at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering. As a representative of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering since 2007. to 2016., I was a member of the Council for Natural and Technical Sciences of the University of Montenegro.

From July to December 2017., I was a member of the Editorial Board of the University of Montenegro, and a representative of the Library of Mechanical Sciences.

As a representative of the University of Montenegro in the period 2009-2015. member, and since 2023 I am the president of the Board of Directors of the Institute for Research and Development in the Field of Occupational Safety.

I am a member of the Montenegrin Chamber of Engineers.

In the capacity of the President of the Technical Committee ISME / TK 008 - Pressure Equipment, within the Institute for Standardization of Montenegro, I actively participate in the work of the same.

From February 2022. to February 2024, I was a member of the Council for Scientific Research, Ministry of Science and Technological Development, Montenegro. 

I am a member of the editorial board of the International Journal "Welding and Welded Structures", Belgrade.

Expert Agency for Control and Quality Assurance of Higher Education in Montenegro for the scientific field of Technical and Technological Science - from 2022.

Expert National Entity for Accreditation and Quality Assurance in Higher Education (NEAQA) in Serbia for the scientific field of Technical and Technological Science - from 2022.

Expert (reviewer) Agency for Higher Education of the Republic of Srpska for the scientific field of Engineering and Technological Science - from 2022.

Winner of recognition for achieved results and contribution to the development of the University of Montenegro for the year 2023.

Im married and I have three children.

I speak Russian fluently and read and write Russian and English.

WORKING RECORD AND ACADEMIC PROMOTIONS

After the completion of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, in the period from November 1991. to April 1992., I was employed in E.I. "1. Decembar" in Pljevlja, as an engineer function Object() { [native code] } in the development sector. As a member of the engineering team, I worked on developing a new radio relay device (RRU) for the needs of the military.

From May 1992. to October 1993., I was employed by the Tobacco Company Podgorica. I worked as the Chief Engineer and the team leader for the maintenance of cigarette machines. As a member of the engineering team, I worked on the reconstruction, modernization, and development of equipment for cigarette production and packaging.

At the same time the employment relationship I had in E.I. "1. Decembar" and Tobacco Company Podgorica, during February 1992. to October 1993., as a part-time associate of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, I performed auditory and laboratory exercises for exams: Mechanical Materials (part), Fracture Mechanics, Descriptive Geometry, and Technical Drawing at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering.

From November 1993 to October 1998, I was selected as an assistant at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, University of Montenegro. During this time, I performed auditory and laboratory exercises for exams: Mechanical Materials (part), Fracture Mechanics, Descriptive Geometry, and Technical Drawing at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering; Technical Drawing with Descriptive Geometry at the Metallurgy and Technological Faculty; Computer Graphics at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering.

In 1998., I was elected as a teaching assistant at the University of Montenegro, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering. Until February 2007., I performed auditory and laboratory exercises for exams: Mechanical Materials (part), Fracture Mechanics, Descriptive Geometry and Technical Drawing at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering Podgorica; Technical Drawing with Descriptive Geometry at the Metallurgical and Technical Faculty Podgorica; Computer Graphics and Engineering Graphics and Documentation at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Podgorica.

Since 2005., at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Podgorica, I performed lectures for exams (the basic academic and academic postgraduate study): Welding, Pressure Vessels and Pipelines, Engineering Design, Student Practice 1, and Student Practice 2.

In 2007., I was elected Assistant Professor at the University of Montenegro, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering for the following exams: Welding, Engineering Design, Pressure Vessels and Pipelines.

In 2012., I was elected Associate Professor at the University of Montenegro, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering for the following exams: Welding, Engineering Design, Pressure Vessels and Pipelines.

In 2017., I was elected Full Professor at the University of Montenegro, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering for the scientific field of Manufacturing engineering and technology.

From 2014. I am a visiting professor at the University of East Sarajevo, Faculty of Production and Management, Trebinje, Bosnia and Herzegovina.
