Biography - Krivokapić Nataša

Nataša Krivokapić was born in Nikšić where she finished elementary and high school. She graduated at the Faculty of Philosophy in Niksic, Department of Sociology, where she completed her master studies with the thesis "Theoretical Approaches to Free Time in Yugoslav Sociology". She obtained her PhD degree in 2016 with the topic "Sociological research of the influence of printed media on the democratization of Montenegrin society". She is engaged as a lecturer at Department of Sociology as a teacher and assistent in following subject:  Methodology of Sociological Research, Qualitative Methods of research, Quantitative Methods of research, Gender and Gender Relationships,  Sociology of Leisure and Sociology of Tourism.

During her master and doctoral studies, she had many specialisations  among which the most significant are: a four-month stay at the University of Tromsø - Norway, a five-month stay at Berkeley State University and a three-month stay at State University Lomonosov - Russia. She was also a participant in several international winter and summer schools. She was engaged in several international projects as a coordinator, lecturer, expert, etc. Among them are: "Gender, Democracy and Violence in the Western Balkans" in cooperation with the University of Oslo and IPA project "The Impact of Migration on Society Development". She participated in several international and domestic conferences.

N. Krivokapic is the author of the book "Theoretical Approaches of Free Time", she prepared the anthology "Gender, Identity and Culture" and translated to English and edited the book "Gender Equality and Women's Health in Montenegro". She is editor of the Journal of Sociology, Social Anthropology, Social Demography and Social Psychology "Sociological Light" and was also  the scientific secretary of the Institute of Sociology and Psychology, as well as the secretary of the Society of Sociologists of Montenegro. She published several scientific and professional papers in national and international scientific journals. She is fluent in  English, Italian and Russian.
