Biography - Lakičević Maja

Maja Lakičević Žarić was born on June 14th 1986 in Kotor. She finished elementary school "Narodni heroj Savo Ilić" in 2001, during which she achieved remarkable results in regional and republic competitions in mathematics. After graduating the elementary school, she continued her education  Kotor High school, which ended in 2005. She received "Luca 1" diploma for elementary and high school.

In 2005 she enrolled the Faculty of Electrical Engineering in Podgorica, Department of Electronics, Telecommunications and Computers. In 2008 she enrolled specialist studies at the same Faculty, Department of Computers, which she completed in 2009 with her specialist work entitled "Multithreading in Java".

In the period from 2010 to 2014, she was employed as a Java developer in "Montora software" and "Enterprise Solution" companies. Along with her engagement, she also enrolled the Master studies at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Department of Computers, under the mentorship of Prof. Dr. Igor Đurović. She completed the Master study in 2014 with an average grade of 10.00 by defending the thesis "Application of Object Oriented Programming in Digital Signal Processing".

In the same year, she also enrolled her PhD studies at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering in Podgorica under the mentorship of Prof. Srđan Stanković. The field of its research in PhD studies is digital signal processing, with emphasis on compressive sensing.

She is employed as a Teaching/Research Assistant at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering where she has been engaged in courses Analog and digital electronics, Electrical measurements, Web programming - Java and Program Language I, since September 2014. She has also been employed as Teaching Assistant at the Faculty of Tourism and Hospitality and the Faculty of Maritime Studies in Kotor. At the Faculty of Tourism and Hospitality, she has been engaged in courses Tourist Information System and Internet Technologies and Services.

She is married and has one child.
