Biography - Mijanović Zoran

Zoran Mijanovic was born on February 24, 1959 in Ljubljana, from father Božidar and mother of Mary. He finished elementary school "Maksim Gorki" in Titograd with a diploma "Luča". He won the first place in the field of electrical engineering at the competition of young technicians of Yugoslavia in Novi Sad in 1972.

He graduated in gymnasium ("S.Škerović") in Titograd in 1977 with a diploma "Luča".

The Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Department of Electronics, enrolled the same year in Titograd and graduated in June 1981 with an average grade of 9.6.

In 1981 he was employed at the Institute "Mihajlo Pupin" in Belgrade. In the Institute he worked on the project two hybrid computers for the Soviet customer. The results of this were used in his master's thesis "New techniques for generating functions", which he defended at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering in Belgrade in February 1983.

He served in 1984 in Sombor.

From December 1984 he worked at the Titograd Electrical Engineering Faculty as an assistant the subject "Electronics".

He defended the doctoral dissertation "Transistor inverters for vector control of asynchronous motors" at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering in Belgrade in July 1989. Immediately after that, he was elected Assistant Professor at the "Electronics" course.

In 1995 he was elected as an associate professor and in 2000 as a full professor.

He achieved the greatest part of his scientific and professional work through extremely fruitful cooperation with the industry, which resulted in an abundance of original solutions in the field of electronics.

He published 3 university textbooks and several auxiliary textbooks, 5 papers in domestic scientific journals, 10 papers in foreign journals, 15 papers at international conferences and over 30 papers at domestic scientific conferences. He led 6 projects funded by the Ministry of Science and one project financed by WUS.

In2008. he received a prize from the Chamber of Commerce for Innovation.

He is currently teaching at basic and postgraduate studies in Electronics, Microcontrollers and Computer Interface and Peripherals.
