Biography - Gardašević Jovan

My name is Jovan (Vojina) Gardašević and I am a citizen of Montenegro with a residence in Nikšić. I was born on May 24, 1973 in Nikšić.

I finished primary and secondary school in Nikšić with a "Luča" diploma for achieving excellent results in all classes. I graduated from the Faculty of Physical Education in Novi Sad, where I defended my graduation thesis on the topic "Development of speed endurance in football players" and thus obtained two titles - Professor of Physical Education and Graduated Football Coach. I graduated first in the class of the first generation of masters students at the Faculty for Sport and Physical Education in Nikšić on the topic "Effects of programmed work in the preparatory period on the transformation of basic-motor and situational-motor skills in soccer players of cadet age". I defended my doctoral dissertation "Sensomotor performance of the dominant and non-dominant hand in elite athletes" in June 2019 at the Faculty for Sport and Physical Education in Nikšić. I also have a UEFA (Union of European Football Associations) "A" coaching license.

From 2000 to 2006, I was employed at Dušan Đukanović Elementary School in Nikšić as a physical education teacher, and from 2006 to 2015 at Luka Simonović Elementary School in Nikšić. I was a mentor to physical education teachers 3 times. From 2000-2010 I was a skiing instructor at a traditional skiing school organized by the Secretariat for Sport and Physical Culture of the Municipality of Nikšić.

From 2010 to 2015, at the Faculty for Sport and Physical Education in Nikšić, I was engaged as an external associate in teaching: a) in the basic academic study program Physical Culture in the subjects: Football-technique and methodology, Football-tactics; b) on the basic applied study program Sports coaches in the subjects: Theory, technique and methodology of the chosen sport - football, Tactics and strategy of the chosen sport - football, Technical tactical exercises in the chosen sport - football, Training process and training practice of pioneers in the chosen sport - football , Technical tactical preparation of the chosen sport - football, Training process and training practice of cadets in the chosen sport - football, Training process and training practice of young people in the chosen sport - football, Rules and refereeing in the chosen sport - football, Training process and training practice of seniors in the chosen sport sport-football; c) on the basic applied study program Sports Journalism on the subject: Theory and Rules of Football.

In February 2015, I moved from the Luka Simonović elementary school to a full-time position as a teaching assistant at the Faculty for Sport and Physical Education in Nikšić: a) on the basic academic study program Physical Culture in the subjects: Theoretical foundations of physical culture, Anthropomotoric methodology , Football-technique and methodology, Football-tactics, Camping and outdoor activities, Swimming and water polo II; b) at the academic specialist postgraduate study of Physical Culture on the subjects: Theory of physical education and the basics of school sports, Theory of sports training; c) on the basic applied study program Sports coaches on the subjects: Theory, technique and methodology of the chosen sport - football, Tactics and strategy of the chosen sport - football, Technical tactical exercises in the chosen sport - football, Training process and training practice of pioneers in the chosen sport - football , Technical tactical preparation of the chosen sport - football, Training process and training practice of cadets in the chosen sport - football, Training process and training practice of youth in the chosen sport - football, Rules and refereeing in the chosen sport - football, Training process and training practice of seniors in the chosen sport sport-football; d) on the basic applied study program Sports Journalism on the subject: Theory and Rules of Football; e) on the specialist study program Preschool Education at the Faculty of Philosophy, subject: Game Theory; f) on the study program Teacher Education at the Faculty of Philosophy on the subject: Methodology of teaching physical education.

I was the secretary of all study programs of the Faculty for Sport and Physical Education. I was a member of the Council of the Faculty of Sports and Physical Education as a representative of all teaching assistants. I was on several occasions a member of the commission for conducting the entrance exam, a member of the commission for the selection of teaching assistants. From 2016 to 2020 I was a member of the Senate of the University of Montenegro as a representative of all teaching assistants of all university units at UoM. I was elected to the position of Assistant Professor in June 2020. Since 2021, I have been a member of the Senate of the University of Montenegro as a representative of the Faculty for Sport and Physical Education. I was the chairman of the Selection Committee for the implementation of the procedure for the selection of the Dean of the Faculty of Sports and Physical Education, the chairman of the Committee for the preparation of proposals for changing the curricula of the study programs of the Faculty for Sport and Physical Education. I am a member of the Committee for Doctoral Studies of the Faculty for Sport and Physical Education. I was the president of the editorial committee of the Faculty for Sport and Physical Education from Nikšić.

As an author and co-author, I participated in the creation of 37 scientific-research papers published in journals that are indexed in the Web of Science databases, of which 21 papers in journals that are in the SCI/SCIE/SSCI/A&HCI databases and 16 papers that are in the ESCI database. As an author and co-author, I participated in the creation of 29 scientific-research papers published in journals that are indexed in the Scopus database, as well as a larger number of scientific-research papers published in journals with international distribution. I am a participant in a large number of international scientific conferences in the field of sports science, with more than 50 abstracts published. I am a permanent reviewer of several journals from categories Q1-Q4 that are indexed in the Web of Science databases, and I have reviewed more than 100 such scientific research papers. I am the recipient of the University of Montenegro Award in 2020 for my contribution to the international positioning of the University of Montenegro and the development of scientific research.

I was the technical secretary of the scientific journal Sport Mont indexed in the Scopus database, and then the secretary of the editorial board (Managing editor) of the same journal. I am engaged as an editor (Review Editor) in journals indexed in WoS (Web of Science - SCI/SCIE/SSCI/A&HCI) Frontiers Psychology, Frontiers in Nutrition, Frontiers in Pediatrics, Frontiers in Physiology, Frontiers in Public Health , Frontiers in Sports and Active Living. I was a guest editor in the international scientific journal "Children" (WoS-SCIE), which is in the Q2 category. I am an Editorial Board Member in journals indexed in WoS (Web of Science - SCI/SCIE/SSCI/A&HCI) BMC Sports Science, Medicine and Rehabilitation; BMC Public Health; PeerJ; and Plos One, as well as the journal Annals of Applied Sport Science located in the ESCI database. I am a participant in the large international project ERASMUS+ of the European system for determining the fitness of school-aged children (European Fitness Monitoring System - EUFITMOS), which lasted three years with the participation, apart from us, of researchers from five countries of the European Union, Spain, Portugal, Greece, Germany and of Slovenia. I am one of the leading members of FIEP (Fédération Internationale dEducation Physique), one of the worlds largest organizations in the field of physical and sports education.

I spent a lot of time at several European universities: a) twice a month in Slovenia at the University of Ljubljana, Faculty of Sports; b) in Slovenia at the University of Primorska in Koper; c) In Portugal at the University of Coimbra, Faculty of Sports Sciences and Physical Education; d) In Turkey at Nevsehir Haci Bektas Veli University, Faculty of Sport Sciences. I spent seven days, in 2010, on professional training in Dublin (Republic of Ireland), in front of the Football Association of Montenegro. Since January 2024, I have been the Acting Dean of the Faculty for Sport and Physical Education of the University of Montenegro.

I have been actively involved in sports for many years. I played football for all selections of FK Sutjeska Nikšić, two years for the senior team of FK Čelik from Nikšić and one year for FK Vrbas from Vrbas.

From 2000 to 2011, I worked continuously as a coach in the Football Club Sutjeska-Nikšić, with all the clubs selections. For four years I was the first coach in the professional staff of the senior team of FC Sutjeska-Nikšić in the First Federal League of Yugoslavia, and later of Serbia and Montenegro. With the senior team of FC Sutjeska-Nikšić, for the first time in the clubs history, he qualified for an international competition, the Inertoto Cup. For seven years I worked as a coach of cadet and youth selections in the club. Leading the cadet team of FC Sutjeska Nikšić, I was twice the champion of Montenegro, once the vice-champion of Yugoslavia, once the winner of the Montenegrin Cup. With the youth team, the champion of Montenegro and winner of the Montenegrin Cup. With the cadet and youth team of FC Sutjeska-Nikšić, I won a major international tournament in Italy "Gallipoli Cup". Twice I was the Leader of all coaches at the traditional Danish football school. From 2011 to 2012 I was Sports Director of FC Sutjeska-Nikšić, and from 2012 to 2014 I was the General Director of that club. From 2014 to 2020  I was an Advisor for sports and transfer issues at FC Sutjeska-Nikšić. For a two-year term, I was a member of the Expert Board of the Football Association of Montenegro, the largest professional body in this association. During the term in which I held the position of General Director of the club, the senior team achieved the best results in its history, winning the Montenegrin championship twice in a row, thus becoming the only team in Montenegro to win the championship title twice in a row. As an Advisor for sports and transfer issues in FC Sutjeska-Nikšić, I won two more titles of the champion of Montenegro and the Cup of Montenegro. Several times I participated in the qualifications for the most prestigious football competition in Europe, the Champions League.

Leading the futsal team of the Faculty for Sport and Physical Education from Nikšić, I was the university champion of Montenegro twice, and the runner-up at the international university championship in Eindhoven (Holland), which is the unofficial European university championship in futsal.

In the traditional survey "Journalists choose the best", in 2012 I was declared the best sports worker in Nikšić.
