Biography - Gagić Radmila

She was born on April 17, 1990 in Kotor, where she completed Elementary and High school. In 2011 she graduated from the Maritime Faculty in Kotor, at the department of Maritime Science with an average grade of 9.77.

In 2010, she participated in European Joint Programme „TRANS-REGIONAL COOPERATION IN MARITIME, TRANSPORT AND SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT“, where she finished one-month studies at the Odessa National Maritime University (Ukraine).

As a student of undergraduate studies, she received numerous awards including the University of Montenegro Award (as the best student of the Maritime Faculty for 2010/11), the Maritime Faculty Award (as a best student for the generation 2008/2011) and the Municipality of Kotor Award. She was also a laureate of the Atlas Foundation in 2011, as one of the 20 best Montenegrin students.

In 2011 she enrolled postgraduate studies at academic study program Maritime Sciences and in 2012 defended a Specialist thesis titled "Quantitative-qualitative analysis of corrosion damage of bulkcarriers", and finished studies with an average grade of 9.87.

In 2017 she defended Master thesis named "Application of analytical models for estimating emission of pollutants from cruise ships in the Boka Kotorska Bay".

For the moment, she is studying postgraduate Doctoral studies at the academic study program Maritime Sciences, at the Maritime Faculty Kotor.

She have worked at the Faculty of Maritime Studies in Kotor since March 2014 as a Teaching Assistant on the technical group of courses at the academic study program Maritime Sciences.

She authored and co-authored couple of scientific papers published in relevant scientific journals, monographies, national and international conferences. 

In addition, she actively participated in the implementation of two Tempus projects, “Modernizing and harmonizing maritime education in Montenegro and Albania – MarED” (where she was appointed administrator) and “Development of Sustainable Interrelations between Education, Research and Innovation at WBC Universities in Nanotechnologies and Advanced Materials where Innovation Means Business – WIMB”. Also, she actively participated in the implementation of international projects financed by IPA "Human Resources Development 2012-2013", HERIC, ERASMUS +, as well as bilateral research projects. She is currently participating in the "Excellence-in-ReSTI" pilot training for designing and managing projects within the H2020 program and the Interreg Danube Transnational Program.

Married and mother of three children.
