Visit of representatives from the Five Group

The Maritime Faculty of Kotor had the honor of hosting Mr. Ivan Šoć, the founder and owner of Five Group (Five G), and Mr. Radovan Vojinović, the gaming coordinator within the same group of companies. They were welcomed at the faculty by the Dean, Prof. Dr. Tatijana Dlabač. The meeting was attended by Vice Deans Prof. Dr. Stevan Kordić and Dr. Zorica Đurović, Dr. Senka Šekularac Ivošević, as well as other professors, associates, students, and alumni of the Maritime Faculty of Kotor.

Mr. Šoć presented the activities of the Five Group, a brand that integrates eSports, gaming, artificial intelligence, science, technology, and innovation into a unified whole, highlighting the importance and influence of these segments as the foundation of a successful society. He emphasized that the Five Group encourages young people to develop their ideas and, as a multi-year sponsor of the “Days of Science and Innovation” organized by the Ministry of Education, Science, and Innovation of Montenegro, supports the development of these fields.

During the meeting, representatives of the Five Group showcased some of their current projects and plans for future work. They expressed a keen interest in collaborating with the Maritime Faculty of Kotor in developing advanced e-simulators to enhance the quality of maritime education and training.

Mr. Igor Stanovčić and Mr. Igor Petrović presented the nautical simulator to the guests, while Assoc. Prof. Dr. Miroslav Vukičević showcased the capabilities of the Marine Engineering Simulator within the faculty’s resources.

Mr. Šoć also visited the Center for Research, Innovation, and Entrepreneurship, which includes the Laboratory for Maritime Archaeology, where several ideas and experiences in these areas were exchanged.

The visit of the Five Group representatives to the Maritime Faculty of Kotor concluded with positive impressions, and mutual interests for further collaboration and the development of projects beneficial to both parties were expressed.
