International piano competition Manja
ABOUT US
Manja Radulović Vulić, musicologist, professor, researcher, piano teacher, was a visionary founder of the first Academy of Music in Montenegro, 35 years ago. The Academy became foundation of whole musical life of Montenegro and since its beginnings the Piano Department took a leading role in the process giving us some of the best Montenegrin musicians and performers.
Today we are proud to announce another step in this pianistic and musical pedagogy and performing arts practice and launch a musical competition, thus honoring the person who fought for our musical emancipation, and continuing to follow her footsteps by working on our improvement and adopting current pedagogical practices. We would not be able to do this if we did not have precious support of two geniuses of pianism and pianist pedagogy of the present day, professors Dmitry Bashkirov and Vladimir Viardo. And with the best Montenegrin pianists and professors, as its promoters, we are happy to announce that we are ready for the first Manja Radulović Vulić International Piano Competition in Podgorica.
Competition has an international character, a great ambition, and noble aims: to enhance the pianistic and musical legacy of Montenegro and region, putting it on the map of European events that present and promote those young artists who cherish the ideas of highest artistic and technical qualities in pianism. We hope to see you there.
Sincerely
Prof. Bojan Martinović
Dean of the Academy of Music Cetinje
