Estonia’s Ambassador Visited BIO-ICT-Center of Excellence at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering

Daniel Eric Shaer, a nonresident ambassador, visited Montenegro yesterday. During this official visit he also visited the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and BIO-ICT-Center of excellence in order to find out more about activities of the Montenegrin researchers at the University of Montenegro in the field of the most innovative information communication technologies.

The ambassador of Estonia met with the dean of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and leaders from the BIO-ICT center to talk about possible collaboration between Montenegro and Estonia with the aim to improve development of Montenegrin potentials in the field of modern digital technology and with the focus on building public services for our citizens.

The Ambassador of Estonia visited laboratories of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering- BIO-ICT and Fore Mont. The researchers from BIO-ICT presented their innovative activities regarding application of the most modern solutions of information communication technologies in the field of agriculture, marine biology and environmental protection. The young researchers presented their innovative projects: Digital arrangement of the signal in agricultural applications; LiveGate platform; DroneMapper cloud platform; IoT defined by Software, System for smart watering.

Estonia has been governing the EU Council since 2017, and its priorities are open and innovative European economy, safe, digital, inclusive and sustainable Europe. This Baltic country with 1,3 million inhabitants profiled itself as a pioneer in the field of technology and its aim is to use all advantages of technological improvement. The official Tallinn will be focused on improvement of the international e-shopping, and it will provide modern and safe communication available to everyone in Europe with the aim to make everyday life easier.
