Online Course for the Young in the Peace Building Field
Project „Integrated Learning for Peace“ offers online course that can be accessed through e-learning platform. This course is designed to enable young people with basic skills in the peace building area and is available in: English, Arabic, Italian, Bulgarian, Bosnian and Montenegrin language.
Course is shaped in six modules covering different aspects of conflict management and peace building. Modules include:
Module 1: Main causes of conflict. Conflict management through different conflict resolution methods.Module 2: Role of young people in conflict management and peace building. Peacebuilding knowledge, attitudes and skills.Module 3: Youth mobilization and leadership towards peace. Using technology to build peace.Module 4: Gender inequality as a key driver of conflict. Reconsidering gender in peacebuilding.Module 5: From intercultural communication to global peace building. Intercultural dialogue and diplomacy as the basis of sustainability.Module 6: Educational programs, resources, tools that promote the role of youth in building peace.
After each module finishes, students are asked to take the quiz of 10 questions based on information presented in the module. After passing all six quizzes with minimum result of 60 %, students will be awarded the certificate on training.
Project „Integrated Learning for Peace“ gathers sectors of formal and informal education in community and creates innovative tools for the young and educators, who help educators to adopt methodologies necessary for giving competences to the young to become peace builders. Main goal of the project is to provide innovative new approaches in:
- Creating joint frame of crucial competences in sectors of formal and informal education;
- Helping young people to find navigable and flexible paths for relevant options of learning;
Mixing formal and informal education of learning approach with used technologies.
