First Doctoral Symposium on Sustainable Development: Applications until September 8
First doctoral colloquium or symposium on Sustainable Development will be organized on September 22 and 23, 2022, at the "Maritime Faculty in Kotor. It was launched as part of the Erasmus+ MARDS project, which is supported by the University of Montenegro, with the vision of growing into a traditional scientific and professional meeting, dedicated to doctoral students of Montenegro and the region with increased international participation.
DOC-ME, as the abbreviated name of this event reads, provides a unique opportunity for doctoral students to present the propositions and results of their research in the presence of their colleagues, mentors, academic and scientific workers and representatives of non-academic staff. In addition, the Colloquium is an opportunity for doctoral students to show how well they have mastered the methodology of presenting scientific work and start gaining experience participating in scientific meetings and events.
The main topic is sustainable development from the point of view of various sciences, natural, technical, social, humanistic, multidisciplinary. Also, there will be talk about art as a function of the sustainability of nature, society and man.
Students can submit three types of papers: regular, short and "abstract", which will be reviewed by the Scientific Committee and published in the Proceedings of the Symposium, visible in scientific bases and resources. As pointed out by one of the initiators of this symposium and the president of the scientific committee, Radovan Stojanović, PhD, from the University of Montenegro, the main idea is that the doctoral students of Montenegro and the diaspora get their own international event that will help the development of their careers, as well as the visibility of the higher education system and doctoral education, led by the University of Montenegro, in the European and international area of higher education.
