Meeting Held on the Occasion of the Self-Evaluation Report by Faculty Units of the University of Montenegro for 2019/20

Preparation of the Report on Self-Evaluation of faculty units of the University of Montenegro for the study year 2019/2020 topic of an electronic meeting of the Quality Assurance Committee, the expert body of the Quality Assurance Center, and representatives of commissions for ensuring and improving the quality system of faculty units of the University of Montenegro.

The meeting provided useful guidelines and clarifications for completing the Self-Evaluation Report, i.e. quality standards / indicators.

Quality standards are highly important instrument for monitoring the quality in higher education and defining direction of university development.

The University of Montenegro has recognized the need to develop quality standards for the institution, in accordance with the European Higher Education Area, i.e. with the document entitled Standards and Guidelines for Quality Assurance in European Higher Education Area (ESG).

This is recognized by normative acts regulating the higher education system in the country, such as the Law on Higher Education, the Agreement on Financing of the University and the Ministry of Education, then through the Development Strategy of the University of Montenegro for the period 2019-2024.

One of recommendations of the Institutional Program Evaluation team, an independent member service of the European University Association (EUA), which visited the University of Montenegro in 2018, also referred to promotion of ESG guidelines and their use.
