Biography




Biography

Rade Grujičić was born in 1991 in Pljevlja. He finished Elementary School "Ristan Pavlović" in 2006, and Secondary Vocational School Pljevlja, division Mechanical technician, in 2010. He received a "Luča A" diploma for the results achieved in elementary and secondary school.

He finished bachelor (GPA 9.96), specialist (GPA 10) and masters studies (GPA 10) at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of the University of Montenegro, within the study program Mechanical Engineering, division of Applied Mechanics and Construction Design. The specialist paper title was "Development of a mobile robot design for the collection of packs of different colors", and the MSc paper title was "The influence of the number of active rolling elements on heat generation within ball bearing with radial contact". He has completed his PhD studies at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, University of Belgrade, under the Mechanical Engineering study program, by defending his dissertation entitled "Meshless Fragile Points Method (FPM) for Fluid Flow around Aerodynamic Shapes and Heat Distribution Problems". For the results achieved during the studies, he was given following awards:

  • Award of "Gordana Jokić Kašiković and Dragiša Kašiković" Foundation for the best scientific-research paper, in competition with students of Faculty for Technology and Metallurgy, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Faculty of Electrical Engineering, University of Belgrade;
  • Scholarship of the Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development of Serbia for exceptionally gifted students in the Republic of Serbia;
  • Scholarship of Municipality of Pljevlja;
  • Scholarship of Engineers Chamber of Montenegro;
  • Atlas Foundation Scholarship;
  • 19th December, Award of Municipality of Podgorica as an expression of recognition for the outstanding achievement during the studies;
  • Award of University of Montenegro for the best student of Faculty of Mechanical Engineering;
  • Scholarship of the Ministry of Education of Montenegro for the best students.

He was a volunteer in NGO "The Ray of Hope" and Day Center for Children with Developmental Disabilities and Persons with Disabilities Pljevlja. He completed his internship in 2014 at the Secondary Vocational School "Ivan Uskoković". He was engaged as an Engineer for Mining Equipment and Machinery in Coal Mine Pljevlja. Since 2017, he has been teaching assistant at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of the University of Montenegro in the field of Applied Mechanics, where he was previously engaged as an associate of the Center for Quality, and a demonstrator at practical exercise in Mathematics I.

Along with several other study visits, he was a visiting scholar at Texas Tech University in 2019, working on a project in the field of meshless methods. He spent October 2023 conducting a research at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Technical University Munich.

He served as a member of the organizing committee for the 20th Conference SQM 2016 (System of Quality in Montenegro) and the 10th international conference ICQME 2016 (International Conference – Quality, Management, Environment, Education, Engineering), held from September 28th to 30th, 2016 in Petrovac. On behalf of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, University of Montenegro, he serves as the coordinator for the team that organizes the national robotics competition within the World Robotics Olympiad (WRO).
