Biography - Vojičić-Komatina Olga

Olga Vojicic- Komatina was born on January 4, 1978 in Niksic.  She attended ‘’Boro Cetkovic’’ Primary School and ‘’Slobodan Skerovic’’ Grammar  School both in Podgorica.  In 1996 she enrolled the Faculty of Philosophy in Niksic, Department for  Serbian Language and Literature. She completes the Faculty with an average grade of 8.3. The topic of her graduation work was ‘’The Roots of Death and Evil in the novels of Dobrica Cosic (Roots, Time of Death and Time of Evil)’’. The work was rated with maximum grade of 10.

She enrolled the postgraduate studies in 2005 and opted for course in science in literature. She defended  master thesis Poetics of Brković's novel ‘Ljubavnik Duklje’  on May 6, 2009, under the mentorship of doc.dr Tatjana  Becanovic. Postgraduate studies were ended by her with an average grade of 9.63.

From 2004 to 2009 she was engaged in educational and pedagogical work at ‘’Stojan Cerović’’Grammar School  in Nikšić.  In September 2009 she enrolled doctoral studies at the Study Program for Montenegrin and South Slavic Literature and started working at the Faculty of Philosophy in Niksic. In the same year she started writing a doctoral dissertation on the subject  Montenegrin Poetry in the Period between the Two World Wars.  The PhD research on the candidate’s topic was defended on 17 May 2011. She received her Ph.D. on July 20, 2016 at the Faculty of Philosophy in Niksic.

 Olga Vojičić-  Komatina  has been a participant in numerous international scientific meetings:  The Scientific Meeting of Njegos's Days, In honor to Lalic, Slavic Scientific Conference in Sarajevo (the second Bosnian-Herzegovinian Scientific Congress) dedicated to the 40th anniversary of the death of Ivo Andric, Sarajevo Philological Encounters organized by the Bosnian Philological Society and  dedicated to the work of Ivo Andric and Mesa Selimovic.  She attended the gathering in Graz dedicated to the Andric’s work  Symbols along the way,  a gathering in Belgrade devoted to Andrić's work Miss in November 2017, a gathering dedicated to Andric in Herceg Novi held in Octobar 2018 (which in total represents a part of the multi-year project Andric in the European context that  will be hosted in Moscow in 2019) and many others.  She participated in a cultural seminar at the Dutch University of Neumachen held in August 2017 and she was a visiting professor at the Humboldt University in Berlin, Department of Southern Slavic Studies,  June 2018.

She speaks English.
