Biography - Ćipranić Ivana

Ivana Ćiranić, ex Nikolić, was born on April 1st 1978 in Nikšić. She attended primary and secondary school in Nikšić. She received the award Luča I twice.

In 1996 she become a student at the Faculty of Civil Engineering in Podgorica. She graduated at the same faculty in 2002, with the average score of 9.00. She received the student award of the town of Podgorica "December 19th" and " The award of the University of Montenegro for the best student of the University (the field of technical sciences)".

She received her Ph.D. on July 2015, at the Faculty of Civil Engineering, University of Belgrade, Serbia. Tittle of her thesis is: Methodology for the selection of optimum size of district metered areas (DMA) in water distribution systems.

In the period 2003-2020. she was employed at the Faculty of Civil Engineering in Podgorica, as a teaching assistent, in courses in the field of hydraulic engineering.

Since 2020, she has been employed as an assistant professor at the Faculty of Civil Engineering in Podgorica in a group of courses in Water Engineering. Since 2017, she has functioned as vice dean for teaching.

She is the co-author of the book "Municipal hydraulic engineering – theoretical background and examples", which is used as a class book at the bachelor and master studies at the Faculty of Civil Engineering in Podgorica, University of Montenegro.

She has actively collaborated with many organisations and participated in various projects, technical revisions and supervision of water engineering projects. She has published over 80 papers, presented at scientific conferences in Montenegro and abroad, and in national and international journals. 

Her areas of interest refer to the problems and issues in water engineering.
