Biography - Aleksić Srđa

Srđa Aleksić was born on 08. mart 1974 in Nikšić. He finished elementary and high school respectively in Nikšić and Belgrade.

He graduated in Maj 2001 at the University of Montenegro, Faculty of Civil Engineering, Department for constructions.

In October 2005 he finished the master thesis Ultimate capacity of thin-walled I-girders under the local load in web plane, at the University of Montenegro, Faculty of Civil Engineering, Department for constructions and seismic engineering.

In Maj 2010 he finished the doctoral dissertation Stability of thin-walled I-girders under the patch loading, at the University of Montenegro, Faculty of Civil Engineering, field of steel structures.

He has employed at the University od Montenegro, Faculty of Civil Engineering, since January 2001.

Since 2001 till 2011 he was assistant lecturer, since 2011 till 2016 he was assistant professor, since 2016 till 2022 he was associate professor, and since 2022 he is full professor at the Faculty of Civil Engineering, University of Montenegro.

He performs teaching courses at the Faculty of Civil Engineering of the University of Montenegro, in the fields of Steel and Composite Structures.

Since 2008 till 2010 he was president of Association of Teaching Assistants and Assistant Lecturers of the University of Montenegro.

Since 2010 till 2013 he was president of Trade Union of Civil Engineering Faculty of the University of Montenegro.

Since 2013 till 2016 he was the Vice Dean for Education of Civil Engineering Faculty of the University of Montenegro.

Since 2016 till 2019 he was the dean of Civil Engineering Faculty of the University of Montenegro.

He is married and has two children.
