Biography - Radulović Vladan

Vladan Radulović was born 27.08.1979. in Podgorica, Montenegro. He finished primary school and high school in Podgorica. For the success shown during the primary and high school he received diplomas ”Luča”. During his education at the Technical High School "Vaso Aligrudić" in Podgorica, he was awarded three times as best student in class. He is the winner of the award of Municipality of Podgorica for best high school students in Podgorica in 1998.

At the Faculty of Electrical Engineering in Podgorica, University of Montenegro, Department of Energy, he enrolled in 1998. He graduated at 01.11.2002, by defending thesis "Switching surges" with a grade 10 of 10 and an average grade of 9.79 of 10 during the study. During undergraduate studies he was the beneficiary of a scholarship of the Government of the Republic of Montenegro for talented students and pupils. For the success shown during the studies he was the winner of the University of Montenegro award for the best student of the University in the field of technical sciences, natural sciences, mathematics and medical sciences in 2003.

At the postgraduate studies at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering in Podgorica, the department of the electric power systems, he enrolled in 2002 and finished it with the average grade 10 of 10. He received MSc degree by defending master's thesis entitled "Selection of surge arresters from the aspects of the impact of temporary surges in the power system," at 06.06.2005 on the Faculty of Electrical Engineering in Podgorica.

He received PhD degree by defending thesis entitled: "Optimization of the system of lightning protection in low voltage electrical installations," at 08.03.2011 on the Faculty of Electrical Engineering in Podgorica.

He is author of several scientific papers in international and national journals and conferences.

He is Head of the study program Power Systems and Automation at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering in Podgorica.

He is a member of several international and national organizations and associations, as follows:

  • Member of IEEE - Institute of Electrical & Electronics Engineers (Association of Energy Engineers and electronics).
  • Member of CIGRE - Conseil International des Grands Réseaux Electriques (International Council on Large Electric Systems).
  • Chairman of the Study Committee C4 - Technical performance of power systems of the Montenegrin Committee of the International Council on Large Electric Systems CIGRE CG KO.
  • Member of the Study Committee C2 - Operation and management of power systems of the Montenegrin Committee of the International Council on Large Electric Systems CIGRE CG KO.
  • Member of the Center for Young Scientists of the Montenegrin Academy of Sciences and Arts.
  • Chairman of the Technical Committee, the expert body ISME / TK E 006 Institute for Standardization of Montenegro

He is the reviewer is international journals: IEEE Transactions on Power Delivery and IET Generation, Distribution and transmission.

Areas of professional interest are: power stations, alternative energy sources, overvoltage protection, the technique of high voltage, high voltage switchgears, and modeling elements of power systems.
