Biography - Rutešić Snežana

Snežana RUTEŠIĆ, PhD, was born on 28th December 1963 in Nikšić. She completed Elementary and High school in Titograd in 1982. She graduated in 1988 from the Faculty of Civil Engineering, University of Montenegro, Department of Structural Engineering, and obtained master’s degree in 1997 at the Faculty of Civil Engineering, University of Belgrade, at the Department of Technology and organization of work execution in civil engineering. She obtained PhD degree in 2005 at the Faculty of Civil Engineering, University of Montenegro, in the scientific field of Construction Management and Technology.
Since the beginning of the academic 1988/89 he works at the Faculty of Civil Engineering, University of Montenegro, in Podgorica, first as a probationary assistant, and since January 1996 as an Assistant lecturer at the same Faculty for courses Construction management and Construction machinery, Construction management and technology and Construction management. She is elected to the position of assistant in 1998 for courses Construction management and technology, Construction Management and Project Management. She became the Assistant professor in 2006 for courses related to Construction management and technology and Project management. Since then she teaches also the courses of Building Regulations, Application of computers in project management, Quality management in construction and Civil engineering contract law. She is engaged as a teacher in a study program of undergraduate and specialist Civil engineering studies, applied undergraduate and specialist studies in Construction management and master’s studies of Civil Engineering, where she was a teaching mentor at the Department of Construction Management and Technology. She re-elected to the position of assistant professor in 2016.
Since 2001 she was a chief of the Center for projects processing, which established as an organizational unit of the Faculty of Civil Engineering in Podgorica. From 2010 to 2013 was a vice Dean for Finance of the Faculty, and during the period 2011 - 2014 she was head of the applied specialist studies in Construction management at the Faculty. During the period 2010 to 2015 she was a member of the professional Council of Technical and Natural Sciences of University of Montenegro.
Her area of scientific interest is project management, with special emphasis on aspects of quality management and information systems, which were the issues of her master’s thesis and PhD dissertation.
In the professional field, she was engaged in design of construction management and technology, preparation of investment studies, feasibility studies and techno-economic studies and analyses, providing consultancy services in the field of application of International Federation of Consulting Engineers (FIDIC) conditions of contracts. In addition, she was an arbitrator in several contracts with local and international participants. She’s a member of the Montenegrin Chamber of Engineers.
She speaks reads and writes Russian language, and also uses English language.
